All roommates pay 1/5 of the PG&E bill (electricity and gas) and 1/5 of the EBMUD bill (water and sewage). The garbage, cable, and burglar alarm are paid by the owner. Utilities vary greatly from summer to winter, usually from a low of $40 to a high of $80.
